Hotel Center inventory can power dynamic Demand Gen ads. The real question is whether extra reach produces profitable bookings.
What is available now
Google announced Travel Feeds in Demand Gen in January 2026. Connecting a Hotel Center feed can produce dynamic video ads with hotel prices, ratings and availability. That is a way to display inventory, not a promise of direct bookings. A useful test needs accurate feed data and a reliable path from the ad to a booking engine.
What the August update says
Google described more tailored hotel ads showing relevant properties alongside local activities, events and timely offers. Its announcement does not spell out availability for every market or every account setting. Do not assume that each option is already present in a Polish hotel account. Confirm the interface and eligibility before committing campaign spend.
Prepare the hotel offer
Check pricing, availability and imagery in Hotel Center. Separate family stays, weekend breaks and spa packages when their margins and audiences differ. An ad with a specific price should lead to a place where the guest can verify and book that offer. Align cancellation terms, seasonality and minimum stays with the campaign promise.
The role next to Hotel Ads
Hotel Ads often meets someone already comparing properties and rates. Demand Gen can reach people earlier through visual content. These formats serve different moments, so avoid judging them with identical expectations. Define whether the goal is a new guest, a package purchase or a gap in the occupancy calendar. That decision shapes the creative, audience and measurement window.
Run a test that answers a question
Measure cost per confirmed booking, revenue after cancellations, package margin and new guest share. An attributed conversion is not proof that the campaign caused an extra booking. Start with one offer and a defined period, then compare with seasonality and other channels. Google is also testing conversations from YouTube Demand Gen ads to messaging apps; this is a test, not a universally available hotel feature.
An off-season offer
A hotel wants to fill November dates. Rather than advertising every room equally, it creates one package with a clear benefit, valid dates and a dedicated booking path. Its feed must show real availability and the same price the guest sees at checkout. If the ad generates interest but the rate changes or the stay cannot be booked, extra reach is unlikely to produce useful revenue.
Who needs to prepare what
Revenue management defines the eligible dates, price floor and margin. Distribution checks Hotel Center and the booking engine. Marketing prepares imagery and video that match the actual stay. The team also agrees how cancellations and refunds will be counted. Without shared availability data, a campaign may promote dates that would have sold through existing channels anyway.
When to delay the test
If the advertised dates are already full, extra demand offers little benefit. If the feed is inconsistent or mobile booking fails, repair those issues before buying reach. Demand Gen can help create demand but cannot replace pricing discipline or a working engine. Include creative production and media spend when assessing the margin from direct bookings.
