Google Business Home: what does the new Gemini dashboard mean for your marketing?

What is Google Business Home, where is the beta available and what does Brand Kit do? Explore the facts and a practical plan to prepare your business.

Most business owners do not need another dashboard to check. They need time to understand what brings customers in, deal with unanswered reviews and make sure the website still matches the promises in their advertising. That is why Google Business Home deserves attention. The useful questions are practical: what has Google documented, what remains unknown, and how should a business prepare if its objective is more sales?

This article is based on Google documentation checked on 23 October 2026, not on a claim that we have tested the closed beta. The recommendations about brand strategy and marketing operations are our analysis. They should not be read as Google announcements or confirmed new ranking factors.

What is Google Business Home?

Business Home uses Gemini models. Its connected services include Business Profile, Merchant Center, Google Ads and YouTube. See Google's beta overview and connected tools documentation.

The interesting business opportunity is a shorter journey from noticing a problem to doing something about it. It is easy to open a report, see a weaker result and then return to the demands of the day. A useful marketing process goes further: identify what needs checking, assign responsibility and decide how to judge the change.

Evaluate a new dashboard against those tasks. Does it help keep an offer current? Does it make recurring customer complaints easier to act on? Can the time saved go towards better service? Putting charts on one screen is only the beginning of that conversation.

Where is Business Home available?

Google currently describes an invitation-only closed beta for selected business categories in the US and UK. The eligibility documentation explains access.

Poland is not listed among the markets covered by this beta. In the materials reviewed, we found no announced launch date for Poland. A translated help page or an accessible product URL should not be mistaken for confirmation that a particular business can join. Equally, being based in the UK does not mean every business qualifies.

There is no reason to postpone improvements while waiting. Opening hours, service information, photography, landing pages and customer communication need attention today. When selecting a marketing partner, ask what work will be delivered with the tools available to your business, rather than buying a promise of beta access controlled by Google.

Which tasks does Google describe?

The documentation covers several areas. Availability can vary by account and business category, so this is not a promise of identical functionality for every user.

  • Locations: updating contact details, hours, services and location media. Profile management.
  • Reviews: searching, filtering and handling responses. Review management.
  • Posts: creating, scheduling and reviewing publication results. Post management.
  • Creative Lab: producing image variations and editing visual materials with AI. Creative tools.
  • Ask Advisor: discussing business data and selected actions with an assistant. Assistant overview.
  • Performance: summaries of metrics, review themes and search trends. Performance documentation.

A service business might start with a profitable service that has appointment capacity. A retailer could focus on a product with sufficient stock and margin. A restaurant needs an offer the kitchen can fulfil. Choosing the content and publishing channel comes after that commercial decision. Faster production cannot make an unsuitable offer more sensible.

Brand Kit: why getting your brand information in order matters

Brand Kit draws on your website and social profiles, with editable logo, colours, values, tone and visual style. Google's Brand Kit documentation describes these settings.

This is a useful reason to review what your company says about itself. Your website might promise personal attention, your advertising might compete entirely on price and your social accounts might show unrelated promotions. Each message can sound reasonable in isolation. Together, they can leave a customer unable to explain why they should choose you.

Prepare a short brand document covering who you help, the situation they face, the problem you solve and the advantage your offer provides. Add supporting evidence, examples of appropriate language and promises the business must avoid. Instead of simply writing “professional service”, explain what that means: a clear scope, realistic timing, an understandable quotation and someone responsible for communication.

Consistency does not require identical copy in every channel. A service page, a short update and a response to a complaint have different jobs. They should still rely on the same facts. That is what we mean by preparing a brand for AI: providing information that makes business sense before any text is generated.

Does Brand Entity mean a new ranking factor?

Marketers use the term Brand Entity to discuss a recognisable business, its offer, locations and related information as a coherent whole. We find that a helpful way to organise communication. It does not justify claiming that completing Brand Kit will improve a company's Maps position.

Google identifies relevance, distance and prominence as the main elements of local ranking. Its local visibility guidance provides no such Brand Kit guarantee.

Our recommendation is to organise information so a customer can understand and verify your offer. Keep details current and create pages that genuinely describe the services you provide. Avoid adding locations, specialisms or distinctions you cannot substantiate. A clear brand remains useful even when there is no separate “consistency” score on a dashboard.

AI posts and images need a real offer behind them

Consider a hotel trying to increase weekday stays. Before designing an image, it needs to define the audience, available dates, package contents and booking route. If the offer fails to explain what the price includes or when it applies, an attractive post simply exposes that ambiguity to more people.

The same review is needed for visuals. A room image should not suggest a view, facility or amount of space the guest will not receive. Restaurant photography should represent the dish being served; retail material should match the actual product variation. A sensible approval process checks the copy, price, image, dates and destination link with someone who knows the offer.

Assign one person to approve publication. Small teams can easily assume a colleague has checked the details. A short checklist and clear responsibility often do more for quality than another batch of generated alternatives.

Use customer reviews to improve the business

Imagine a repair business praised for workmanship but repeatedly criticised for failing to communicate collection times. Publishing a post about excellent service is a weak first response. Decide who will update customers and when, then check whether the complaint becomes less common.

Separate individual incidents from recurring signals. Look at the period, the number of comments and the circumstances involved. A handful of similar reviews is not representative market research, but it may be a good reason to speak with the team.

Google prohibits incentives for posting, changing or removing reviews. Its review guidance belongs in any customer feedback procedure.

You can make an honest review easier by sharing a link after a completed service. A response to difficult feedback should address the situation and offer a way to continue the conversation without exposing private information. If AI drafts a reply, a person still needs to check its accuracy and the promises made on the company's behalf.

More clicks do not automatically mean more sales

In standard Business Profile reporting, the calls metric counts call-button clicks. Google's metric definitions help distinguish this from completed conversations and customers.

Connect reporting with a simple record of what happened next: qualified enquiries, quotations sent, sales completed and their value. If advertising generates more calls but most concern a service you do not provide, review the message and targeting before celebrating the increase.

An illustrative calculation: 20 qualified enquiries resulting in five sales gives a 25% closing rate. These are hypothetical numbers, not an MB Digital Marketing client result or forecast. They show how to ask a better budget question: should you buy more traffic, or first improve the offer and response time?

Allow for seasonality, available capacity and budget changes when comparing periods. For a hotel, consider whether interest becomes a direct booking. Otherwise, a rise in attention can look successful while leaving the property's commercial result unchanged.

How to prepare your business for this way of working

  1. Review access. Check account ownership, staff permissions and recovery arrangements. Know who is responsible for each company asset.
  2. Compare information. Review your website, Business Profile, social accounts and sales materials together. Correct outdated services, hours, numbers and terms.
  3. Prepare brand essentials. Collect the right logo, colours, photographs, audience description and language examples.
  4. Choose one objective. This might be enquiries for a particular service, bookings for specific dates or sales of a selected category.
  5. Test the contact journey. Open the site on a phone, make a call and submit the form. Establish who receives enquiries and when they respond.
  6. Set a working routine. Schedule reviews of feedback, updates and results. Give each improvement an owner and a review date.

You do not have to change everything at once. Begin with issues that can lose a customer today: a broken form, an expired offer or an unanswered enquiry. Organise your materials next, then build automation on that foundation.

How MB Digital Marketing can help

We can review your presence on Google and the journey from discovering your company to making an enquiry. Your offer, target customers and commercial objective provide the starting point. Together, these define the work needed on your profile, website, content, campaigns and measurement.

The outcome should be a practical plan: what to fix, what to produce, who approves it and how to assess progress. Scope and pricing depend on your locations, the condition of the website, available materials and whether you need a one-off improvement project or ongoing support.

Explore our marketing support for businesses or tell us what your company needs. Send your website, Business Profile link and the types of enquiry you want to attract. We can discuss work available now; access to Business Home remains Google's decision.

Frequently asked questions about Google Business Home

Should I wait for Business Home before improving my profile?

No. Update your information, offer, photographs, review handling and the website customers visit. These are also useful foundations for future tools.

Will the dashboard replace a marketing agency?

It may change how some tasks are performed. Someone still needs to choose objectives, verify promises, plan budgets and connect reporting with sales follow-up. Agency support should reflect those needs.

Does Brand Kit guarantee higher rankings?

There is no basis for that promise. We treat it as a way to organise brand information and content production, rather than a purchase of visibility.

How do we start working together?

Describe the problem: too few calls, unsuitable enquiries, missing bookings or an unclear offer. Email marcel@mb-dm.pl with your website so the first conversation can focus on your situation.
